Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
I tried to listen to this as an audiobook. It was all right, but after a while, I just got bored with it. The kid is in school, takes part in stupid tasks. Okay, I get the purpose of them, but their description is so detailed, and so repetitive, I just couldn't stand it anymore. I stopped listening, and every time I thought of continuing, I couldn't get myself to do it. So I just gave up.
Then I checked out the author. Oh my. If I know all this, then I don't even start. Seriously, don't ever leave me in a room with a spoon full of water and that guy. He wouldn't survive it. I felt a lot better about stopping after that.
