Day 16: My favourite female character
My first thought was Scarlett from Gone With The Wind. When I was reading the book for the first time at 14, I completely identified with her. When she was hungry I was hungry. However, I can't have GWTW as the book for every other category.
So I chose my latest favourite, Dany from George R.R. Martin's series. She does have a similar story to Scarlett's. A young girl who has more put on her shoulders than she should, the loss of a man she grows to love gradually, being responsible for others, going hungry, having hard decisions to make. She is a vulnerable character, has her faults, but trying to live up to the situation with her intelligence. She is my queen of choice. I don't know what's going to happen to her in the rest of the book, but I'm cheering her on all the way. Plus she's gorgeous. I think they got her looks to a T in the TV series.
